Diversity that Inspires
NOWOtex is characterised by four product ranges. The company has specialised in meltblown nonwovens with its NOWOmelt range. The ultra-fine spunmelt nonwovens are used in the areas of filtration, automotive, industry and trade. Meltblown products are characterised by features such as very fine fibre diameters in the lower micrometer range, a soft structure and uniform appearance. NOWOtex manufactures all of its products according to customer requirements, be it as self-supporting single-layer end products or in combination with other materials.
Meltblown nonwovens are used, among other things, as filter materials in FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 particle-filtering masks. They can also be used as depth filters in modern filter technology. Their excellent absorbing properties also allow meltblown nonwovens to be used for sound absorption. In addition to these acoustic features, the meltblown material also possesses first-class thermal insulation properties. A specific feature of meltblown nonwovens is the large, inner surface that is created by the fine fibres. The capillary effect allows the nonwovens to effectively absorbs dirt and particularly oil. When used as a cleaning cloth or oil absorber, these nonwovens ensure cleanliness at the workplace and home. Another application is the production of very dense nonwoven materials with high barrier properties.
